Why they matter
Pooled mining kept mining accessible to ordinary participants as difficulty climbed, and decisively shaped how hash power is organized to this day. His later Trezor work pioneered consumer self-custody.
Profile
Czech developer who on 27 November 2010 launched the first Bitcoin mining pool — Bitcoin.cz, the "Bitcoin Pooled Mining Server" later known as Slush Pool — letting small miners combine their hash power and share rewards proportionally.
