The Bitcointalk forum is founded
What happened
Satoshi launched the discussion forum (later bitcointalk.org) that became the primary gathering place for the early Bitcoin community.
Significance
Almost everything we know about early Bitcoin culture survives because this forum did. It is the primary archive this Atlas draws on.
